Dit kleine dorp is de perfecte uitvalsbasis om het Gunung Leuser Nationaal Park te verkennen, \u00e9\u00e9n van de meest bijzondere regenwouden in Zuidoost-Azi\u00eb. Gelegen in Noord-Sumatra is Bukit Lawang een droom voor natuurliefhebbers en avonturiers.<\/p>\n<p>Het Gunung Leuser Nationaal Park is enorm, met een oppervlakte van 1.095.000 hectare. Het staat op de UNESCO-werelderfgoedlijst vanwege de ongelooflijke biodiversiteit. Dit regenwoud bruist van het leven en is de thuisbasis van duizenden unieke dieren, planten en insecten die je nergens anders ter wereld vindt.<\/p>\n<p>Een paar van de meest bijzondere bewoners van het park zijn bedreigde dieren zoals de Sumatraanse tijger, neushoorn, plompe lori, olifant en natuurlijk de beroemde Sumatraanse orang-oetans. Wist je dat \"orang-oetan\" \"bosmens\" betekent? Deze geweldige dieren leven alleen hier en op nog \u00e9\u00e9n andere plek op aarde.<\/p>\n<p>Trekken door het Gunung Leuser is een onvergetelijk avontuur! Je wandelt door het dichte, groene regenwoud, luistert naar de geluiden van vogels en dieren en misschien spot je wel een orang-oetan die door de bomen slingert.
