Our story
My name is Kedito, founder of Orangutan Trip Sumatra. I was born and raised in Bukit Lawang, a small village on the edge of the jungle in Sumatra. Growing up in the jungle has been a huge part of my life. My father has worked at the Orangutan Rehabilitation Center in Bukit Lawang since 1980 and from a young age, I learned a lot about the jungle from him. My brother Wolly also helped me to understand the ways of the forest. Together, they taught me about the wildlife, the plants and how to survive in the jungle.
