1. Visa options
- Visa-free entry: tourists from 169 countries can enter Indonesia visa-free for 30 days. This cannot be extended or converted to another type of visa. Available at designated airports, seaports and land borders.
- Visa-on-Arrival (VoA): for longer stays, you can get a Visa-on-Arrival for €30 per person (about 550,000 IDR per person), valid for 30 days and extendable for an additional 30 days. Extensions must be processed at an Indonesian Immigration office. Check eligibility before traveling.
- Longer stay visa: if you plan to stay beyond 60 days, apply for a long-term visa through the Indonesian embassy in your home country.
2. Entry requirements
Passport validity: your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry.
3. Overstay penalties
Overstaying your visa incurs a penalty of 300,000 IDR per day. If you overstay by 60 days or more, you risk detention or imprisonment.
4. Airport and departure information
Airport tax: included in the price of domestic flight tickets. For international flights, check with your airline to confirm if airport tax is included or needs to be paid separately.
